These sessions are also to help us prepare our hearts for the Circuit evangelistic Services, to be held in April.
Youth Encuentro will be held in St. Kitts from July 21-30. Each congregation is asked to select a delegate to attend. The person selected should be:
- Between the ages of 16 and 35
- Actively involved the life of the church
- Willing to participate in a leadership training programme
- A member of a youth organization
The contact Steward in each congregation is asked to submit the name of their selected representative along with the completed registration form to the Circuit Office by March 31, 2014.

The annual Lenten services organized by the St. Kitts Christian Council will be held every Wednesday of the Lenten season, beginning this Wednesday, March 12, 2014. The Theme for the services is: “A Nation To Build, A Country To Mould.” All of the services will be held at the Wesley Methodist Church, Seaton Street, as follows:

Soup and rolls will be served at the end of each service.

We extend condolences to all who mourn, especially to Bro. Ivan Caesar (District MCCA Men’s Commission) and his family, on the passing of his eldest sister, Georgina (who resided in the UK), and on the passing of his niece-in-law, Jennifer Hazel Hendrickson (of Newton Ground). Bro. Caesar is originally from the St. Pauls Methodist Church but now resides in the USVI.
We also extend condolences to Rev. Dr. Camelita Morton Gumbs, the entire Morton and Richards families, and brothers Vallon Francis and Aldrin Thomas, on the passing of their relative, Mrs. Ruth Hughes, who also lived in the U.K. We pray that our God of all power and truth and love will sustain them as they mourn the loss of their loved ones.
The annual observance of the Week of Prayer, will take place March 2 to 7, 2014. Services will be held Monday to Thursday in the St. Johnston congregation mornings at 6 o’clock, and in all other congregations at 7 o’clock in the evening. The week will culminate with participation in the World Day of Prayer services observed by the St. Kitts Christian Council on Friday, March 7.
As part of its outreach to members and the community as a whole, the St. Kitts Circuit of the Methodist Church will hold a Health Session entitled “Goodbye To Diabetes, Hypertension and Obesity Through Management.” This session will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Wesley Church Hall, (Old Boys’ School) from 9:00am to 12 Noon. Blood sugar and blood pressure levels will be checked by medical persons and information will be given about eating habits and staying on a diet.
Persons who are not diabetic or hypertensive are also encouraged to attend. A healthy snack will be provided. An exercise class will also be established to encourage persons to stay fit and healthy. Please invite your family and friends.
Members of the Challengers Methodist church will proudly dedicate their new Johannus organ on Sunday, February 16, 2014. The service will be held at 5 o’clock in the afternoon, and will feature, among other things, a praise segment, the act of dedication, items by the Zonal Choir and invited organists, including Bro. Junior Forbes of the James Street Methodist Church in Barbados, who recently installed the new organ.
The Minister and members of the Challengers congregation cordially invite one and all to join with them in this act of dedication.
The Circuit is now ordering another batch of the ‘Voices In Praise’ Hymnal. Persons who wish to purchase copies are asked to place their orders with the Circuit office before February 20. Full payment should be made at the time of ordering. The cost of the Hymnal is EC$75.00.
We congratulate the members of the St. Johnston Women’s League on the observance of the League’s 54th anniversary today. A special service to mark this milestone will be held at the church at 3.30 today (Sunday 9th March, 2014). All are invited.
