During her visit Ms James met with Chaplains and Officers of the St Kitts Girls’ Brigade and conducted training and outreach sessions with them at the Wesley Annex. The visitor was also taken on an island tour. She left St. Kitts on Thursday evening and has expressed a desire to return to St. Kitts to conduct a week-end retreat.

There are presently eight functioning Girls Brigade Companies in St. Kitts.  Over the years young girls have been trained to become meaningful and useful young ladies to the church, home and society. These teachings have so far produced ministers of religion, including Rev. Morna Christmas-Fraser, Rev. Stacia Williams-Christmas and Rev. Deslyn Belle-Watson, as well as several influential teachers and other workers in the church and civil society.
