22nd Aldersgate Sunday

Aldersgate Celebrations for 2011 will be held on May 22nd. entitled “Roots and Branches: Our Methodist Heritage,” will be staged at the ECCB auditorium by children and young people from the eleven congregations in  the circuit. 

The Pageant will be preceded by devotions, which will begin at 4.00pm.  Recorded music of Charles Wesley’s Hymns will be played in the auditorium leading up to the start of the afternoon’s activity.

In addition to the devotions, the singing of Charles Wesley’s Hymns by Choirs will be a feature of the celebrations. Choirs will be seated at the front, with a designated area for each choir. Members of congregations will join with their choir during the singing of their designated hymn.

Stewards of congregations are responsible for making the necessary arrangements for transportation to accommodate persons wishing to attend the pageant.

Persons taking part in the pageant should note that a rehersal will be held  on May 21st at ECCB auditorium, time to be announced.
