LID District Theme: “Trusting God in Difficult Times: Transforming Obstacles into Opportunities”



2022 HURRICANE SEASON

We are now in the 2022 Hurricane Season and all are encouraged to ensure that the necessary preparations are made. You are also encouraged to keep abreast of local storm information as issued by the Government Met Office or the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).


Congregations are asked to review and/or adjust their Emergency Preparedness plans to be able to respond if and when necessary.



MCCA WOMEN LORD’S DAY

The MCCA Women Lord's Day Services will take place on June 26, 2022 in the morning in all Methodist Churches throughout the Circuit. The services will be conducted by our female Preachers under the theme, “Facing the Task Unfinished: Pressing Forward with Christ." All MCCA Women (18 years and older) are asked to participate in their congregation’s service by wearing white, their MCCA vest (if you have), hat/or fascinator. A walk-up collection will be taken for women's work.


The Women Lord's Day celebration continues with a Rally at the Immanuel Methodist Church, Sandy Point at 4:00 p.m. under the sub- theme, "Women of Purpose". An invitation is extended to come out and see our women dramatize the values and beliefs of remarkable women of the Bible.



LID DEVOTIONALS VIA WHATSAPP

Please ensure that you are in receipt of the Daily Devotionals via Whatsapp (except Sundays) via the various chats or members. This week’s Devotionals will be conducted by the St. Kitts Circuit.



DISCIPLE BIBLE STUDY

Starting September 2022, the St. Kitts Circuit will embark upon another Course of DISCIPLE I Bible Study.DISCIPLE Bible Study is a 34-week Bible Study Course which we are excited to offer again.


Also, starting September 2022 the Circuit will embark on DISCIPLE II Bible Study (Into the Word Into the World). This too is a 34-week Bible Study Course with focus on the books of Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Acts). This course will only be offered to those who successfully completed DISCIPLE I.


Orders will be made based upon receipt of payment of $120.00 (USD $45.00) for hard copies on or before 22 July, 2022. Payments preferably are to be made to the Circuit Office or arranged through your congregation's contact steward. Persons also have the option of purchasing e-copies for the same cost. Please indicate your preference for either morning or evening sessions upon payment.

WORLD FEDERATION OF METHODIST AND UNITING CHURCH WOMEN

The World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women Assembly will be held online from August 9th-14th 2022. This Assembly is held every five years. The MCCA Women is part of such a body and all women of the Methodist Church, ages 18 and above, are invited to join with women from around the world in this virtual space. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Vacations Bible School will be held July, 18-22 2022 in Zone 1 (Wesley, St. Johnston and Hope) at the Wesley Church Hall and at the Ebenezer Methodist Church from 9 am-1 pm daily.

Children between the ages of 5 to 14 years are invited.



CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS

We extend birthday and anniversary wishes to all who are celebrating this week. We remind and encourage you to offer thanks to Almighty God for his goodness and mercy throughout the years of your life.


Congratulations are extended to Junique Hodge (Immanuel) on her recent graduation from St. Mary’s University, Canada, with a BA in General Studies with a focus on biology and business management. Junique is the daughter of Bro. Junie and Sis. Tryphena Hodge (Immanuel).


CONDOLENCES AND THANKSGIVING SERVICES

We pray that the peace of Christ will dwell with all who are mourning at this time including:


The family of the late Bro. Melford Phipps (Ebenezer), including his nephew, Bro. Clement Boone. The Thanksgiving Service for his life will be held on Monday, 20 June 2022 at the Ebenezer Methodist Church, starting at 2:00 pm.


The Thanksgiving Service of the late Sis. Carmen Christopher will be held on Monday, 20 June 2022 at the Wesley Methodist Church, starting at 2:00 pm.
