METHODIST HERITAGE MONTH
The month of May is being observed as Methodist Heritage Month
Special events in the month include:
Sunday, 14 May: Susanna Wesley Day (Mothers’ Day) in all Congregations
Sunday, 21 May: Circuit Aldersgate celebrations at the K.G. Swanston Memorial Methodist Chapel, Dieppe Bay, commencing with Morning Worship at 9:30. Members are asked to wear any Methodist T-shirt or Polo shirt. The Service will be preceded by a March of Witness which begins at 8:30 a.m. The Hope, Wesley. Cayon, Tabernacle, and KG Swanston congregations will gather at Caines Pasture and the St. Johnston, Challengers, Ebenezer, Phipps, Immanuel, and St. Paul’s congregations will gather at Gibbons Pasture. Congregations and/or individuals are encouraged to make their own arrangements for lunch. The Afternoon Session begins at 2:30 p.m.

CIRCUIT PICNIC
The Circuit Whit Monday Picnic will be held on Monday, 29 May at Frigate Bay Lawn. A ‘round-the-island’ family whistle stop is being planned for the first half of the day, starting off at 8:30 a.m. from Wesley chapel and ending at the Frigate Bay lawn. We look forward to the participation of all families. Congregations are asked to begin organizing their own transportation.
“GIVING PRAISE TO OUR LORD”
The Wesley Methodist Dance Ministry will be hosting a night of dance, music and singing entitled, “Giving Praise to Our Lord” on Saturday, 13 May 2023 starting at 6:30 pm. The Ministry’s dancers, along with musicians and singers, will showcase an array of God given talents that will be a blessing to all in attendance. It promises to be an evening to remember.Looking forward to your support. Tickets are on sale at the Harmony Christian Bookstore at a cost of $30.00 (adults) and $15 (under 12, payable at the door).
EMHMJS 70th ANNIVERSARY THEME COMPETITION
An invitation is going out for submissions for the official theme for the 70th Anniversary of the Epworth/Maurice Hillier Memorial Junior School (EMHMJS). Against this backdrop, students, parents, teachers, and alumni alike are encouraged to tap into their creative minds.
The deadline for submission of entries is by Friday, 19 May 2023. Late entries would not be acknowledged or considered.
The theme must be concise and memorable. It must be a phrase, a clause, or a short sentence of no more than six to eight words. The theme should accurately reflect the EMHMJS’ 70-year history of education, as well as its current realities, and the standard or shared future that all stakeholders can reasonably strive towards.
Participants must submit their names, addresses, and contact numbers with each entry to the email address: themecompetition70@gmail.com. The winner will be awarded a Cash Prize of EC$700.00.

ST CHRISTOPHER OUTREACH CENTER
Kindly note that volunteerism is encouraged at the Outreach Center as each Communion is rotated weekly. The Anglican Communion is responsible for the week of 8-12 May 2023. Persons desiring to volunteer at the Outreach Center, Irish Town Bay Road, can give their names to the Circuit Office.
