MONITOR 2021 HURRICANE SEASON & COVID-19

Please continue to monitor information supplied by the Government Met Office, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) as we continue to be vigilant regarding the hurricane season and the COVID-19 Pandemic.



ASSISTANCE IN TIMES OF TROUBLE AND NEED

You may know of persons who are in need during this time of crisis, especially some who are quarantined and in dire need of essential supplies;let us, through the CARE Fund stewards, in the true spirit of the Christian Community, demonstrate love and compassion by assisting where necessary.



POSTPONEMENT OF CIRCUIT ORGAN RECITAL

Please note that the Circuit Organ Recital which was scheduled for 31 October, 2021 has been postponed until further notice. Stay tuned.


YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS WEEK

The 2021 Youth and Young Adults Week will be celebrated November 20 - 26, 2021 under the theme,“Resilient Soldiers for Christ: Rejoice and Trust in God’s Wisdom”.



Saturday, 20 November - Hike to Lawyer Steven’s Cave. All are asked to assemble at the Caribbean Cinemas parking lot in Buckley’s by 6.00 a.m. Congregations are asked to organize transportation for participants.



Sunday, 21 November - MCCA Youth and Young Adults Lord’s Day.

(Youth and Young Adults are required to lead all aspects of the morning’s worship, inclusive of the Message, in accordance with the MCCA Youth and Young Adults Lord’s Day Order of Service) The name of the young person giving the Message should be given to Rev. Stacia Williams-Christmas, so that they can be paired with a member of the clergy or preacher to get assistance with preparing the Message.

The annual Youth Rally will be held at 4.00 p.m. at the Immanuel Methodist Church. Masks must be worn and all other COVID-19 protocols will be observed. A love offering will be taken.



Tuesday, 23 November - Community Outreach.

Youth and Young Adults are encouraged to undertake activities in their respective communities.



Wednesday, 24 November - Elocution & Effective Speaking Competition. The Elocution competition ranges from ages 11-17 years and the Effective Speaking, ages 18-35 years. Additional competition details can be found in the Youth Week package submitted to your congregational steward. Please confirm participants from your congregation by November 15, 2021 via email or phone call, sending the information to Rev. Friday, 26 November - Singing Competition. This competition comprises of two parts, solo for persons ages 11-17 and duet for persons ages 18-35. Additional Competition details can be found in the Youth Week package submitted to your congregational steward. Please confirm participants from your congregation by November 15, 2021 via email or phone call, sending the information to Rev. WESLEY’S “GRAB AND GO” BAZAAR

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and in observance of Regulations and Protocols, the Wesley Methodist annual Bazaar will again take the form of a GRAB AND GO. Lunch will be from 12 noon - Saltfish & Johnny cake with green salad, Goat Water, Souse, Black Pudding and Cook-up will be there, ready for you to just “Grab and Go”. Then, in the evening come on back and get your dinner from 5:00 p.m. - Rice and Peas, Macaroni Pie, Vegetables, Chicken, Mutton, Fish and Ham will be ready for you to just “Grab And Go”. A variety of items for you to choose from would be on sale. So, purchase your Christmas presents even if it’s for yourself and avoid the rush at the stores. All protocols would be observed.

This event takes place on Saturday, 27th November 2021 at the Wesley Hall grounds.Tickets for the dinner are on sale for just $25.00 and can be obtained from the Church Office and Harmony Book Store.



CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS

We extend birthday and anniversary wishes to all who are celebrating this week. We remind and encourage you to offer thanks to Almighty God for his goodness and mercy throughout the years of your life.


We extend congratulations to all who were successful in their various overseas exams and offer words of encouragement to those who were not. ConGRADulations to those who recently graduated from the UWI Open Campus. “To God be the glory!”



CONDOLENCES AND THANKSGIVING SERVICES

We pray that the peace of Christ will dwell with all who are mourning at this time including:


Bro. Elliot Williams (Wesley) on the death of his mother, Sis. Chirmin Williams (St. Vincent and the Grenadines). The Thanksgiving Service will be held on Monday, 8 November, 2021 at the Kingstown Methodist Church, St. Vincent, starting at 10:00 am;


The family of the late Bro. Austin Warner, also known as Austin Duncan (Immanuel). The late Bro. Austin served as the Captain of the 2nd Boys Brigade Company up to the time of his death, a position he held for many years.

In this regard, the Boys' Brigade Island Council is inviting all past and present Boys' Brigade members to a special meeting on Monday, 8th November, 2021 at the Wesley Church Hall (Old Boys’ School) at 5:00 p.m. Please make every effort to attend.


The Thanksgiving Service for the life of the late Sis. Maureen Woodley will be held at the Immanuel Methodist Church, Sandy Point, on Thursday, 11 November, 2021 starting at 2:00 pm.



CIRCUIT OFFICE

The Circuit Office is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily and can be reached via telephone numbers 465-2346/662-2885 or email, info@skmethodist.org. Tithes and offerings may also be received at the office during these hours. Contributions may also be made on-line, via the Circuit website, www.skmethodist.org.



HARMONY BOOKSTORE OPENING HOURS

Harmony Christian Bookstore is also open daily, Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visit the store for a wide variety of study materials and other Christian literature or call us at 466-1215.

Methodist Media, the official communications arm of the Methodist Church St. Kitts Circuit, is available to provide services for upcoming circuit and congregational events.


If you would like to consult with the media team for your church event, please contact the church office and complete the Methodist Media request form.


We strongly recommend making your request at least 2 weeks prior to your event date. Note that you will be expected to meet with the media team at least twice prior to your event to ensure all needs are addressed and the media team has all the details needed to adequately support your event.
