Pastoral Letter - 13th December 2020

Greetings to you my dear sisters and brothers. It is a delight to write to you during this time of Advent to give a word of encouragement and hope.

Both encouragement and hope are necessary for us because, even if we are a people of faith, we live in troubled, difficult and challenging times, which create a sense of upheaval and uneasiness, especially with the prevalence of the Corona virus (COVID- 19) pandemic. With good support we will be better able to stand firm amid the shifting tides of life.

Encouragement assures us that we are not alone; we have the support of our Christian brothers and sisters and the affirmation that our good God is with us to help, strengthen, sustain, guide and direct us every step of the way. Hope gives us courage to face our present circumstances and eager anticipation of the life of eternal glory with our God.

On this the third Sunday in Advent, when our concentration is Love, may the love of Christ shine brightly in us to dispel the darkness and gloom that threaten to engulf us. Thus, as we look at the light of the candle, I pray that we celebrate the love we have in Christ.

May God bless and keep you and enfold you in His loving embrace.

Best regards!

Yours In The Master’s Business,

Telford D. Matthew (Rev.)
